Introduction to Forest Bathing (Shinrin-Yoku) 1.5 hour 

In l982 Forest bathing was deemed an official wellness practice in Japan and the health benefits of Forest Bathing are now recognized globally.

This introductory workshop is held in  a classroom setting. In this class you will learn:

•       The health benefits of spending time in nature

•       The science behind how the forest is able to support our physical and mental health

•       How to practice Forest Bathing

•       Resources to learn more

We also invite you to join The Community Health Centres of Northumberland to participate in two guided forest walks. Thursday October 9th at 1:20 pm - 2:30 pm in Port Hope (venue to be confirmed). Rain date Wednesday October 15th at 3:20 pm - 4:30 pm.
